Sleep Is Wealth

Are you planning to scrimp on sleep again? Better think before doing so. Not getting enough sleep or sleeping less than six hours at night is one of the major reasons why a lot of people today are becoming susceptible to health problems. Hypertension, weight gain, and decrease in one’s immune system are just some of the health problems most people suffer due to lack of sleep.

Sleep is very important as we should all know. It allows our body to rest as well as restore and renew the energy we spent in work and play during the day. Studies show that people who lack sleep tend to be irritable, impatient, moody and less focused. They don’t have the energy to do the things they need to do. They also tend to endanger the lives of other people as they might fall asleep while working or driving a car. Road accidents and medical errors are just some of the things that might happen when people who lack sleep insist to go on and perform their daily routine.

• frequent urination
• depression
• excitement
• work shift
• too much stimulation at bedtime
• stress and worrying
• sleeping too much during the day
• taking stimulants in the evening (nicotine, alcohol, caffeine, or food)
• grief
• bed or bedroom that does not promote sleep.

Consider having comfortable luxury mattresses and taking your TV or computer outside your bedroom. Keep your mind off those stressful thoughts and have a good night sleep. Remember sleep is health and health is WEALTH!
